~PONY EDITIONS~

Five consecutive WWII issues of TIME magazine the entire month of May, 1944. These are rare "Pony Editions," a smaller, abridged version of the magazine specially printed for members of the Armed Forces than was only 34 pages. They weren't sold, but given to the troops. As these things were cheaply produced and mainly distributed overseas, a lot of them didn't make it back, so they're much more scarce than the regular issue.

There is really a lot of great content in them too, much on World War II as it was happening, and other interesting events of the time. Plenty of good illustrative content as well, photographs, etc., but you'll just have to purchase this lot to see it all.

Magazines are generally in VERY GOOD+ used condition with a little cover smudging that must have occurred through handling or storage. These issues do not appear to have been much read (if even at all), and if they were, they seem to have been handled very carefully. Appx. 6" x 8 1/4" each
