#208, or 208a

I'm not exactly sure if this is a #208 or a #208a. The difference is the color. #208 is dull rose to deep brownish red. #208a is pale to deep brown red. Not a lot of difference in the CV (the 208a is worth a few bucks more)...you decide.

The opening bid may seem a little low for this stamp and that's because there are some flaws- a small closed tear on the left, and another on the bottom. I can't tell if this stamp was ever hinged but I don't think so. There is still some partial gum glistening on the back that you can't see in the scan. It is still a decent buy even if you intend to just use it as a space filler.
